My work usually begins with a question. For instance, I try to answer "What goes into setting a minimum wage in India?" or "What is the cost of a vote?"
To answer the question, I search for data from trustworthy sources, clean and parse it, then study it and derive insights from it. Finally, I represent it in a manner that best brings out these insights.
I did this as a visual journalist at Scroll.in as well as on independent projects. Below is a sampling.
